Raised in Litchfield, Cleve returned after spending a decade and a half away, beginning a real estate career which has been ongoing for 45 years.

 

In that time, he has been a member of more than two dozen professional, non-profit, and local government organizations. First elected to the Litchfield Board of Assessment Appeals when its title was the Board of Tax Review, he has served on the Board for over 20 years.

 

Cleve’s extensive knowledge of properties in town, appraisal principles, and taxing procedures, he believes, allows him to make fair and informed decisions about assessment questions and complaints.
